If you had to write a poem about your life RIGHT NOW, what would it be about? Explain your answer in at least 4 to 5 sentences.

Prompt Response:  If I had to write a poem about my life, Im not sure what it would be about. I really don't have much of anything going on right now besides school. Everything is usually like this, and Im used to it at this point. Hopefully, when something does happen its fun and new. Summary: Today, we took some quick notes on writing a rhetorical analysis. Reflection:  It was an easy lesson today, especially because of the pep rally cutting our classes short.

When you are in a mood that you do not like, what are some strategies that you use to change your mood?

Prompt Response:  When I'm in a bad mood, I usually have a few things I do to make myself feel better. Sometimes I'll play games or talk to my friends, and that usually works.  Summary: Today, we had a commonlit.  Reflection:  We only had the CommonLit so that we wouldn't get ahead of the other classes, which was fine.

Describe your personal approach to creativity. What steps do you follow when you’re working on a project. Tell me about a project you created that you were most proud of.

Prompt Response:  When I'm working on a project, I usually start by laying out all my ideas. Then I eliminate by circumstance from there. A project I've created that im most proud of is an origin myth that I wrote. I think the story was great, and I set it up so that I can continue and expand on the world that I created. Summary: Today, we analyzed a short story and answered some free-response questions. Reflection:  The story was interesting, and I think it has a lot of potential to be fleshed out and turned into something bigger. The questions weren't too difficult, but they definitely required some thinking.

After two weeks of studying rhetorical devices, types of rhetoric, and methods for identifying rhetorical techniques, which rhetorical device do you find most effective or compelling, and why?

Prompt Response:   The rhetorical devices I find most compelling are pathos, antithesis, and hypophora. These devices are great on their own, but combined, they can be used in various ways to get out of sticky situations. Summary: Today, we had our test on rhetoric. Reflection:  The test was easy, and I passed even though I got a few questions wrong.

Choose a vocabulary word that resonates with you personally. Write a blog post explaining why this word is significant to you, including any personal memories or experiences that link you to the word.

Prompt Response:  None of the words truly resonates with me; all of them are just words in my eyes.  Summary: Today, in Mr.Rease's absence, we learned 15 new vocabulary words. Reflection:  All of the words are familiar, so doing the exercises wasn't hard

Write about a time you didn’t feel like yourself.

Prompt Response:  Last October, my closest friend moved away to go to another school. We knew she was moving, but we didn't know the exact time until the last week came; we prepared ourselves. We enjoyed the little moments we had and savored everything till the last day. The week after she left, I felt different. It was like part of me was absent. She was basically my sister, thats how close we are.  Summary: Today, we started to go over MLK's "I Have A Dream" speech. Reflection:  I've been over this speech quite a few times in my years of schooling, so finding each rhetorical device shouldn't be too challenging.  Although we unfortunately have to do the work over the weekend, I'll still get it done.

Describe a place where you feel the most at peace and explain why.

Prompt Response:  A place I feel most at peace is my room, but my room when I am home alone specifically. I feel most at peace there because it's my space where I can be alone without having to deal with anyone. I'm as free as I can be in my room, only restricted by the laws of physics and humanity. I don't have to worry about anyone watching me, bothering me, or anything of the sort. It's just me in my own space. Summary: Today, due to Mr. Rease's absence, we have an assignment on a few rhetorical devices. Reflection:  Today's assignment wasn't difficult and only took a few minutes.

Reflect on a time when you had to rely on someone else. How did it feel?

Prompt Response:  Some time after Christmas, I won an auction for a new Digimon V-Pet. I was able to cover the initial payment, and thought that shipping was included with that payment. But I was wrong. Some time after I paid and the product arrived at the shipping warehouse, I saw how much shipping was. Fifty five dollars and some change! I spent most of my money on the winning price and I barely had enough for shipping all in one place. First, I asked my stepmom if I could give her twenty dollars cash for her to send me the money digitally. Once that was done, I already had most of what I needed. Next, I had to clean up around the house a bit to get some extra allowance. Finally, I almost had everything I needed and so I asked one of my friends to borrow twenty dollars and boom. I had gotten all the money I needed to pay for shipping. I had to rely on a few people for this and it felt slightly embarassing considering what I was paying so much for. But really pondering on the situ...

What life skills have you learned in high school that will help you live independently after high school? Which skills do you think are essential for your success after high school?

Prompt Response:  A skill I've learned in high school that would help me after I graduate would be thinking on my toes. Throughout my years in high school, I've had to make up stories and persuade quite a few staff members on the spot, and I've gotten better as time has gone on. It might not be the most morally correct skill, but it is certainly useful. Summary: Today, we learned about several new rhetorical devices. Reflection:  We discussed some rhetorical devices I have never heard about, and I discovered that there are nearly hundreds of devices writers use.

Use a hyperbole, an understatement, and a litotes to describe today's lesson.

Prompt Response:  Today's lesson was not bad. It was fairly easy even though we had notes that lasted a thousand years. Summary: Today, we went over new rhetorical devices. Reflection:  Most of what we did today was just notes but we did do some excersices to practice each device.

In 2–3 well-developed sentences, reflect on how you spent your Holiday Break. Then, identify four personal you would like to achieve this year and briefly explain why each goal is important to you

Prompt Response: I had an eventful break. For the first week, I was at my  grandparents' house in Louisville, Kentucky. While I was there, I watched movies, cooked with my grandad, and helped cook for my grandma because she's still in a wheelchair. The weekend after that, I went to my best friend's house for her birthday sleepover. There, we played a bunch of games and watched movies. The food was good, we had a lot of snacks, and we played pranks on each other. The second week of break, I flew to Cincinnati, Ohio, to see my mom. I didn't have as much fun there, but it was nice to see my mom and dogs after a while. Finally, the weekend before school, I stayed at my other friend's house because we planned a game night. We ordered food, played games, and messed with his little cousin a lot. Overall, my break was packed and I only got to be home for one day, really. 1 .  The first goal I hope to achieve in 2026 is to stop my procrastination.  This goal is important to ...
