In 2–3 well-developed sentences, reflect on how you spent your Holiday Break. Then, identify four personal you would like to achieve this year and briefly explain why each goal is important to you

Prompt Response: I had an eventful break. For the first week, I was at my grandparents' house in Louisville, Kentucky. While I was there, I watched movies, cooked with my grandad, and helped cook for my grandma because she's still in a wheelchair. The weekend after that, I went to my best friend's house for her birthday sleepover. There, we played a bunch of games and watched movies. The food was good, we had a lot of snacks, and we played pranks on each other. The second week of break, I flew to Cincinnati, Ohio, to see my mom. I didn't have as much fun there, but it was nice to see my mom and dogs after a while. Finally, the weekend before school, I stayed at my other friend's house because we planned a game night. We ordered food, played games, and messed with his little cousin a lot. Overall, my break was packed and I only got to be home for one day, really.

1The first goal I hope to achieve in 2026 is to stop my procrastination. This goal is important to me because, without procrastination, I can do so much more and accelerate academically and personallyTo achieve this goal, I'll use a system where I set a schedule of what I'm going to do. Alternatively, I will count to three and then do the task without further thought. I plan to have little to no procrastination by February 2026.

2. My second goal of the year is to learn how to drive. This goal is essential to me because learning to drive is a critical skill, and it's something I have yet to learn. Learning to drive would help me obtain my permit, which would allow me to drive and lead to me getting my license. To achieve this goal, I'll practice freely behind the wheel in parking lots and open spaces. By April 2026, I plan to learn how to drive and earn my learner's permit.

3. My third goal of the year is to start a business and make money. This goal is critical because I have to have a source of income until I can get a real job, and having a business will give me experience for future employment. To achieve this goal, I'll map out different ideas based on my interests and what's possible at this point in time, and then build on those ideas. I hope to reach this goal by May 2026.

4. My fourth and final goal of the year is to look at and apply to colleges and trade schools. This goal is significant because my high school years are ending, and further education is next. Also, if I apply now, I have less to worry about during my senior year. To achieve this goal, I'll research colleges and trade schools with major engineering areas and note the good and bad things for each option. I hope to achieve this goal by May 2026.

Summary: Today, we got reintroduced to class and went over our goals for the new year

Reflection: My goals are all things I believe I can achieve by the dates I listed. Each of them is something I've been putting off for a while, and I think it's time to really go for them now.
